Susan Boyle says she feels ready to 'take on the world'

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle says she feels ready to 'take on the world' following her stint in rehab.

The 48-year-old spinster flew back to her native Scotland yesterday to spend time with her family and pet cat Pebbles.

She described her stay in The Priory as 'a little holiday' and vowed: 'I want to take on the world.

'I've got my sleeves up ready. From now on there's nae cr*p.'

The Scotswoman will spend a few days in Blackburn in West Lothian before returning to London next week.

Once back, she is set to start work on demos for her debut album and join fellow finalists on the Britain's Got Talent tour, which kicks off in Birmingham on Friday.

Meanwhile it emerged Simon Cowell has a lucrative contract ready for her to sign - but has told her he will cancel the deal if she would rather return to her old life.

He told the News of the World: 'The best cure for her is time with her cat and her family.'

And a source close to Cowell told the newspaper: 'Simon would love to turn Susan into a big star around the world, but only if she wants that.'

Susan was admitted to The Priory last Sunday following reports she was 'behaving strangely' at her hotel following her defeat to dance act Diversity.

But yesterday her brother John, 59, said the shy singer was on good form.

'I have spoke to Susan and she is very excited and positive about the future,' he told the News of the World.From:www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz
