But now it seems Emma Watson has bewitched her latest co-star after they were spotted embracing in Los Angeles.

Emma Watson, 21, looked ‘besotted’ as she tenderly kissed Johnny Simmons, 24, who stars with her in the upcoming £30 million drama The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

The couple have been spotted together before, but previously it was denied they were in a relationship.

Yet there could be no doubt that they are deeply involved as the Harry Potter star, in a multi-coloured maxi skirt, white sweater and sandals, and Johnny were locked together in a lingering clinch outside a restaurant in Santa Monica.

Emma has fought hard to shake off her prim schoolgirl image after playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films.

And Emma Watson new American boyfriend should suit her purposes well – he has a slightly risque past and even had the odd run-in with the police. His film career includes playing a drug addict and sexually explicit scenes.

Johnny – Alabama-born and brought up in Texas – has a past in the tradition of Southern ‘good ol’ boys’.

He was arrested aged 19 in May 2006 for going at 80mph in a 65mph zone. Two days later he was arrested again for being in possession of alcohol below the legal age of 21 and was fined £350.

Last night at a gala event in Sydney, L'Oréal Paris announced Megan Gale as the first ever Australian ambassador.

Megan Gale, The 34 year old beauty, who was reportedly still "pinching herself" over the news, said of the appointment, "When you start modelling you have certain goals. For me, it was Italian Vogue, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition...but the Holy Grail is a cosmetics contract with a global cosmetics company. For it to come about, and for it to be L'Oréal, I just can't believe it."

Here, we chat to Megan Gale about her new appointment and her top beauty tips.

What is your favourite beauty ritual?
I would have to say applying a really nourishing hair masque or treatment once a week. It leaves my hair looking and feeling amazing. In addition to that, a good night's sleep!

What are your indulgences?
Spending time with my family and friends and the odd glass of really good red wine!

What is your favourite way to unwind and relax?
It would have to be a lazy Sunday afternoon cooking – I love to cook! Also, exercise, meditation and yoga. If my body feels good, I feel good mentally.

Who is your role model?
I take inspiration from so many people in my life, but obviously my family is very important to me. I look up to, as well as seek advice from, the women in my life, especially my mother.

What is the best beauty tip you could give?
Less is more! And always wear sunscreen, as it's the best anti-ageing weapon out there. And smile!

What gives you confidence in yourself?
Surrounding myself with positive, loving and supportive people. My family and friends are exceptionally important to me and I feel very fortunate to have them in my life. But, most importantly, it is about believing in your own energy and strength.

How does it feel to be the very first Australian L'Oréal Paris ambassador?
I'm still pinching myself. L'Oréal Paris has an incredible team of global ambassadors and it is a true honour to join such a distinguished and diverse group.

What are your favourite L'Oréal Paris products?

Salma Hayek’s billionaire husband Francois Henri Pinault is the father of former supermodel Linda Evangelista’s son, The New York Post is reporting.

Rumors had circulated for several years that the CEO of Yves St Laurent and Gucci was the father of four-year-old Augustin James although it was never confirmed by Evangelista.

She stayed tight-lipped about the identity of the father but yesterday she went to a Manhattan magistrate’s court to try and get support agreement with Pinault.

Pinault is also father of a four-year-old daughter, Valentina, by his current wife, Freida actress Salma Hayek. The French business mogul also has two children by his first wife.

A year after his birth, Evangelista claimed the father was a New York architect while her spokesperson at DNA Model Management, Didier Fernandez, called the Pinault paternity rumor "untrue" in 2007.

Yesterday was actually the model's third or fourth trip to Family Court, but no agreement was reached and the dispute could now result in a full support trial.

Evangelista, 46, refused to comment as she left the court while Pinault, 49, was not present.

His lawyer David Aronson told The Post, “We had understood that it was to be a brief, telephone conference, to bring Magistrate Troy up to date on what the status was.”

Evangelista's lawyer, William Beslow, had no comment.

Evangelista and Pinault conceived Augustin in early 2006, numerous sources have said, when he was separated from then-gal pal Salma Hayek, whom he went on to marry in 2009.(S)

Lambert, a Grammy winner for her single "The House That Built Me," said Miranda Lambert was "thrilled" to be part of "The Voice."

Alyssa Campanella, A 21-year-old auburn-haired California model won the Miss USA 2011 crown Sunday night and will represent the nation in this year's Miss Universe pageant.

Alyssa Campanella of Los Angeles topped a field of 51 beauty queens to take the title at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. She strutted across the stage in a blue bikini with white polka dots and a dark turquoise Sherri Hill evening gown with beading on its top.

She also answered a question about legalizing marijuana by saying she didn't think it should be fully legalized as a solution to help ailing economies.

Alyssa Campanella told reporters in a news conference after the pageant that the win validated her decision to quickly move to Los Angeles from New Jersey after losing an apartment.

"The downs happen for a reason," she said. "The path that I'm on now is the path that's been meant to be."

Campanella, a former Miss Teen USA runner-up from 2007, when she represented New Jersey, said she has been competing in pageants since Alyssa Campanella was 15 because of her mom.

Originally from Manalapan, N.J., Alyssa Campanella began modeling at age 16, graduated from high school a year early and received a scholarship to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, according to her personal website.

Miss Tennessee Ashley Durham was the first runner-up, while contestants from Alabama and Texas placed third and fourth.

After tonight, the next Miss USA will likely face more questions about her beauty secrets than whether she's tied to a terrorist organization.

That's because the reign of Rima Fakih, the current title holder and first Muslim-American to wear the crown, will end when a panel of judges selects her successor at the 2011 Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas.

During her tenure, Rima Fakih, 25, who was born in Lebanon, repeatedly faced questions about her ethnic and religious identity. That included responding to unfounded rumors circulating over the Internet that she had family connections to Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite group that the U.S. designates as a terrorist organization.

Fakih flatly denied the allegation, calling it the product of a blogger who had made it up "out of her prejudiced mind."

"I'd like to say I'm American first, and I am an Arab-American," Rima Fakih said. "I am Lebanese-American, and I am Muslim-American."

Fakih not only stood up for herself, she lent moral and vocal support to another Muslim beauty contestant, Great Britain's Shanna Bukhari who received a death threat because of her stated goal to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant.

"Be fearless, be proud of who you are and no matter what anyone tells you by using religion as a tool against you, don't let that affect you," said Fakih, who sent Bukhari a charm bracelet to show her support.

Not all of the pesky questions posed to Rima Fakih were about religion, however. There were those pictures of her standing next to a stripper's pole circulating around the Internet that Fakih had to explain.

Those were taken during a radio station competition in which no clothes were removed, Rima Fakih said.

Gay Husbands Become an Inspiration in Fran Drescher New TV Show

Fran Drescher didn't have to look far for inspiration for her new TV Land show Happily Divorced, which premieres June 15. The sitcom, about a woman whose husband turns out to be gay, is actually based on her own experience.

After her marriage of 21 years ended, Fran Drescher's husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, came out of the closet.

"He had already been living a gay life away from me after we divorced, and he said, 'I don't want you to be shocked. I'm dating men,' " she said.

The revelation didn't entirely surprise Fran Drescher. "During our marriage he had told me he might be bisexual, but he wanted to stay married," she says. "By the time he told me, I had survived uterine cancer. Nothing could shake me."

Over the years, the two of them have rebuilt their relationship as friends. "It's great that we had the ability and the wisdom to reinvent our relationship. All those years weren't for nothing," Fran Drescher says. "We're very tight. We're best friends."
